Rescue: it's not just a verb ... it's a promise ❤

You can't change a dog’s past, but you can rewrite their future.

Just like Jim, Brenden and I made a promise to our two pups, Morpheus & Aries are making a promise to raise $250.00 for the Norwalk River Valley Trail.

Their background:

Morpheus is a Black Belgium Malinois rescued by us in February of 2019. He came to us all the way from Mississippi. He was homeless for some time getting attacked by other animals until he was picked up by an animal shelter. His time was almost up when he was shipped to CT where we ended up adopting him and rewriting what his future held.

Aries is a AKC German Shepard from Alabama who was used for breeding & forced to live outside in a cage with no roof for two years. When her breeding days were over, she was discarded, thankfully a rescue grabbed her, and we adopted her the following week. Needing to gain over 30 lbs., she was so weak due to malnourishment our vet was worried her heart would give out. With lots of love and patience we helped her rewrite her story too!

These two dogs are inseparable. Like two soulmates that found each other. In just a few days they created a bond so precious. The love here in this picture just makes my heart melt. From two different states they somehow made their way to each other. No matter what they are doing they need to be near each other. Most often than not they need to be touching. Morpheus is a big goof who loves treats and lots of love. Aries is a bit more reserved, but she is coming out of her shell slowly. Our son, who is Autistic, is in love with them both and we couldn't ask for more patient pups with him. We are incredibly lucky. ❤
